This is a short piece for two B-flat clarinets, inspired by the movement of squirrels chasing each other up and down trees. The title of the piece comes from a unique ability tree squirrels possess amongst other mammals - they are able to descend trees head-first by rotating their hind ankles 180 degrees, allowing them to grip the tree bark from the opposite direction.
